Creamy Cauliflower

This creamy cauliflower is especially delicious with the addition of some spices.

Here’s my recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cauliflower cut into florets

  • cooking oil

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 2 cloves of garlic minced

  • 1 small onion diced

  • 1 teaspoon of paprika (optional)

  • 2 Thai chillies sliced into rings (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon of flour

  • 1 cup of whole milk

  • salt

    Method:

  • Steam the cauliflower until it’s tender but firm.

  • While the cauliflower is steaming, add the cooking oil to a sauce pan and once it’s hot add  garlic and dried rosemary and cook until the garlic has browned.

  • Then add the butter.

  • Once, the butter has melted, add the bayleaf, garlic, onion, paprika and Thai chillies and cook for 10 minutes.

  • Then add the flour a little at a time while stirring to ensure that it’s mixed well.  Then add the milk and cook for 10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.

  • Cook the sauce for 10 minutes to allow it to thicken.

  • Then add the steamed cauliflower to the sauce and season it with salt to taste  and cook for 10 minutes.
