Maple Creole Glazed Chicken

Maple syrup is just as awesome on pancakes as it is in a glaze or sauce. Maple syrup paired really well with Creole seasoning in the  Maple Creole Glazed Chicken that I made.

  • canola oil

  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast

  • salt

  • black pepper

  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon of Creole seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • Heat the oven to 400°F.

  • Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper and bake it in the oven for 15 minutes.

  • While the chicken is baking, make the glaze by combining the maple syrup, white vinegar, Creole seasoning and butter in a sauce pan. Cook until the glaze has reduced by half.

  • Baste the baked chicken with the glaze and then put it bake in the oven for another 15 minutes.
