Creamy Lemon Tuna Spaghetti

A creamy sauce, lemon juice and canned tuna are combined to make this creamy lemon tuna spaghetti.

Here’s my recipe.



  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

  • 2 cloves of minced garlic

  • 1 1/3 cup of whole milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

  • 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper

  • 1 bell pepper diced

  • 2 stalks of celery diced


  • 2 cans of flaked tuna

  • 2 servings of cooked spaghetti and 1 cup of reserved cooking liquid

  • salt

  • juice of 1 lemon


  • Add the butter to a warm pan and once it melts add the flour and stir it well.

  • Once the butter-flour mixture just starts to brown, add the minced garlic and cook until its a dark brown colour


  • Then add the milk, black pepper and nutmeg.


  • Cook until the milk has thickened.


  • Then add the bell pepper, celery and tuna and mix well.


  • Add the spaghetti, cooking liquid and salt to taste and cook for 10 more minutes.


  • Then add the lemon juice, mix well and serve.
