Stir Fried Mushroom and Broccoli

Mushrooms and broccoli are a complementary combination. The mushrooms are soft and buttery while the broccoli is vibrant and crunchy.

Here’s the recipe.

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil

  • 2 portobello mushrooms sliced into bite sized pieces

  • 1 medium head of broccoli cut into florets

  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • 4 cloves of minced garlic

  • 1 inch of ginger minced

  • 1/4 of 1 large onion diced

  • 1 teaspoon of miso paste

  • 2 pickled habanero peppers diced

  • 1/3 cup of water

Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the ginger and garlic. Once the garlic just starts to brown, add the onions and cook them until they’re translucent. Then add the mushrooms and cook them until they start to wilt.

  • Then add the broccoli and habanero peppers. Cook for 5 minutes.

  • Then add the miso paste to 1/3 cup of boiling water and stir it well and add it to the pan.

  • Top it off with the soy sauce and sesame oil and sesame seeds.
