Tomato Chicken N’Dumplings

Tomato Chicken n’ dumplings is a hearty and satisfying meal. There’s lots of healthy vegetables and filling dumplings. This recipe uses tomato soup as a base.


Here’s the recipe.





  • 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced into bite-size pieces

  • 1 carrot diced

  • 1 bell pepper diced

  • 1 medium onion diced

  • 4 cloves of garlic minced

  • 1 cup of parsley chopped

  • 1 can of tomato soup

  • 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 cup of water

  • salt



  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 bunch of scallions

  • 1/4 cup of milk

  • 1/4 cup of butter

  • salt


  • Start by making the chicken soup. Heat some oil in a pot and cook the chicken until it’s no longer pink. Push the chicken to one side of the pot, then add the garlic,onions, bay leaf and rosemary. Once the onions have browned add the carrots and bell peppers.


  • Then add the water, then tomato soup and salt to taste. Cover it with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes.



  • While the soup is simmering, start making the dumplings. Mix the dumpling ingredients and form a dough. Then roll out the dough until its 1/4 inch thick and cut into strips and cut across the strips to make squares. Your dumplings are ready for cooking.


  • Put the dumplings in the simmering soup and top it with the parsley. Cover it with a lid and cook it for another 10 minutes.



  • Once the dumplings are fluffy and fully cooked, your chicken and dumplings is ready.
