Parsley Garlic Yam and Potato Fries

I had some yam and regular old potato fries at home and I decided to serve them together for a sweet and salty combination. Yams are healthier since they are a complex carbohydrate and keep blood sugar levels stable due to their slow uptake unlike regular potatoes which are a simple carbohydrate. So if you want fries, try substituting some for yam fries for a healthier alternative.

Here’s the recipe.




  • 1 cup of frozen potato fries

  • 1 cup of frozen yam fries

  • 1 cup of chopped flat leaf parsley

  • 6 cloves of chopped garlic

  • salt



I put the fries without any oil in my ActiFry and set the timer for 20 minutes. At 10 minutes, I added the parsley, garlic and salt and then let it cook for another 10 minutes. Not only were the fries golden and crispy but the garlic and parsley also had a nice crunch.
