Steak with Peppers

This is a tasty one pot meal with the steak and vegetables cooked together. The vegetables soften and make a delicious sauce.


Here’s a recipe that serves 2.




  • cooking oil

  • 1 medium steak

  • 4 cloves of garlic minced

  • 1 diced Habanero pepper

  • 1 onion diced

  • 2 bell peppers cut into strips


  • 1 cup of chopped scallions



  • 2 chopped tomatoes



  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 tablespoon of rosemary

  • 3 cloves

  • 1 small stick of cinnamon

  • 1 cup of water

  • salt




  • Season the steak with salt and pepper and cut it into 1 inch strips and set it aside.




  • Heat some cooking oil in a pan and add the garlic, onions, bay leaf, rosemary, cloves, cinnamon and strips of steak. Cook until the steak starts to brown.


  • Then add the tomatoes, bell peppers, scallions, Habanero pepper, water and salt to taste and put the lid on and cook for about 30 minutes.



  • Once the sauce has thickened, the dish is ready.
