Millet Flat Bread

Millet is a gluten free grain. The grains can be cooked  and used in many ways like in salads or in porridge. Millet can also be ground and turned into flour. I bought some millet flour recently and I used it to make a flat bread.

Here’s my recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of millet flour

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

 

Method:

 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add a little water at a time to the flour and mix it it until it starts to come together and form a dough. I added about a half a cup of water.

  • Knead the dough and form a ball and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Then divide the dough into four balls.

  • Flatten each ball and using a rolling pin, roll it out until it’s about 8 inches in diameter. Put it on a heated pan and brown both sides.
