Cauliflower Curry


Curries can taste vastly different depending on what part of the world the recipe originated in. This is an Indian curry. I tried a another method of preparing the cauliflower before I cooked it.

Here is my recipe.





  • cooking oil

  • 1/2 head cauliflower cut into florets

  • 3 gloves of  garlic

  • 1 onion diced

  • 1 inch piece of garlic

  • 1 bunch of scallions

  • 2 teaspoons turmeric

  • 2 tablespoons garam masala

  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree

  • salt to taste

  • 1 1/2 cups water


  • Mix the cauliflower with the turmeric, garam masala and salt. Let stand for half an hour.


  • Puree the ginger garlic and scallions.

  • Heat the oil and add the onions and when they soften,  add the pureed ginger-garlic-scallions mix




  • Add the tomato paste, water, cauliflower and cover with a lid. Simmer for 20 minutes.
