Soothing Turmeric Tea

Superman can leap tall buildings in a single bound with ease but when mere mortals miss a few steps while walking downstairs, they may end up with a tennis ball sized swelling on their ankle like I did. I followed the RICE method of dealing with a sprain.For me, a hot cup of tea is a soothing drink at any time of day. I added a few inflammatory fighting ingredients to my tea to try to and help the healing process.

 

Here’s my recipe for turmeric tea.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 teabag

  • 6 cloves

  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 2 inch piece of ginger

  • 2 cups of water

  • honey

 

Method:

  • I boiled the water in a pot and added the teabag, cloves, turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger.

  • After 15 minutes, I strained it and added honey to taste.
